WHAT IS GRASS PAPER?
Grass paper is a pulp-based product that contains a significant proportion of grass fibers in addition to wood or recycled paper fibers.
This is usually at least 30% and makes the paper particularly resource-efficient.
Reasons for using grass paper:

The production process requires only about 6 liters of water per ton of hay, instead of around 6,000 liters for wood pulp.

The energy requirement is only about 112 kWh per ton of hay compared to around 5,000 kWh for wood pulp.

The production of grass fiber fabric is entirely chemical-free. This makes the process particularly environmentally friendly.

Overall, up to 95% of CO₂ emissions can be saved. Grass paper is therefore a climate-friendly alternative.
