WHAT IS SILPHIE PAPER?
The cup plant (Silphium perfoliatum) has been cultivated in Germany for several years and has so far been used as an energy crop for production.
used for electricity, gas and heat.
However, the fibers are also used as a wood substitute (35%) for the production of cardboard boxes and paper.
The silphium fibers give the paper its brownish appearance and natural feel.
